The Book of Kells (7 min walk/via luas)
Heralded as Ireland’s greatest national treasure, this hand-scribed and delicately illustrated, medieval religious text dates back to 800AD. Located in the superbly crafted 18th century Old Library at Trinity College, visitors will also marvel at the 65-metre Long Room, home to more than 200,000 of the Library’s oldest books soaring overhead at the upper gallery bookcases towards the distinctive barrel-vaulted ceiling.
